Michael Palin of Monty Python fame and veteran of many travel documentaries was in Southport today (Tuesday 1st December 2009)for a book signing at Broadhursts in Market Street. Many people stood outside in the biting wind waiting to see Michael. He arrived just after Noon in a chauffeur driven Mercedes. He was happy to pose for a picture in the street. Michael Edward Palin, CBE (born 5 May 1943) is an English comedian, actor, writer and television presenter best known for being one of the members of the comedy group Monty Python and for his travel documentaries.
